Jonathan Simpson
Jonathan - Vocals and Guitar. Jonathan picked up the guitar when he was 13. Not having an electric guitar of his own (or an amp for that matter), he played the first few months in the band with borrowed equipment provided by Brent Lenz. Since then, he as settled on using mostly a Hamer Strat through a Marshall 1X15 amp (DS-1 dist). When recording, he tends to be more adventurous. On Kringe's debut album, "When Resists, Persists...", Jonathan used many different guitar and amplifier styles. Jonathan started writing about two years after Kringe was formed and is the head songwriter for the group. 12 songs on their album were written solely by Jonathan, and one of the songs was co-written by Jonathan and their bass player, Jose.
When asked about his favorite song on their newly released album, Jonathan responds with slight indecision. "I'm proud of everything that I've contributed to this album. None of the songs are quite the same style-wise, so that's a hard question to answer. I'll usually won't keep anything new that I've written unless I think it's the best song I've written yet."
"I'd have to say "Walking away". That was last song I wrote and recorded on this album. (later Waiting Around was added to the album) When I was in Greece a few months ago, we thought the album was complete and I was supposed to be reviewing it. I just felt this incredible need to write, and one night on the island of Skiathos, I wrote "Walking Away". I knew we had to record it and add it to the album. The album just didn't feel complete without it..."
"When I write music, I like to not only convey the feelings I'm having at that point in time...I also like to occasionally throw in something made up, just to keep it interesting." Jonathan produced, recorded, and engineered this album; he continually fills the role of the band "headman". He is influenced by Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, Nirvana, and Green Day.
Jonathan is now atending collage at MTU on a full scholarship. He is taking classes in the music filed.

Shawn Diaz - Drums
Shawn Diaz - Drummer
At age 5, Shawn realized that he wanted to play drums. He started playing a blue Brand P.O.S. drumset his dad brought home. For 8 years he emulated his dad playing Mexican music. During that time, he went through two additional drumsets including a white Tama, and gold DW. At age 13 he made the jump into the New Rock/Alternative genre. Influenced by Nirvana, and all the other cool bands out there....
